An art object and a new student space have been opened on the fourth floor of the SUSU main building on the third anniversary day celebrated under the "SUSU International Orbit" slogan.
All conditions for comfortable learning and pastime within the walls of the university are created today at South Ural State University. This Monday, the Our Floor student co-working space was opened at SUSU, and today, an updated student space dedicated to the 80th anniversary of our university has also been opened on the fourth floor of the SUSU main building.
"SUSU is an international university. It unites 58 countries of the world, which had certainly to be somehow marked within the walls of our alma mater! The SUSU International Office and the South Ural Association of International Students and Alumni initiated the organization of an international corner where everyone can share a piece of their culture!" says the Executive Director of the South Ural Association of International Students and Alumni Dilrabo Tozhikulova.
The blue colour was chosen as the basis. This is the official colour of our university. The niches depict greetings in different languages of the world, and also contain various elements of national clothing, souvenirs and paintings of representatives of different countries: Turkmen women's handbags, Uzbek women's skullcap, Chinese souvenirs, Mongolian yurt and plates, African doll, souvenirs from Egypt, Iraq, and much more. There is also an information board on the wall, where upcoming events will be posted: national conferences and holidays, photo exhibitions, and creative works. There is a world map with the SUSU logo and main building in its central part.
"I believe that this space opens up new boundaries between the peoples who study at SUSU. Students will be able to work here, relax, hold various events and communicate with each other in the format of intercultural dialogue. This is cool!" student Lola Makhmadova shares her impressions.
In conclusion, awards were given to students who had taken part in the photo exhibition "SUSU through the Eyes of a Foreigner," dedicated to the anniversary of our university. After that the organizers of the event thanked all those who had worked on the creation of the space and taken an active part in the development, planning and implementation of the project.
