Developments by SUSU Scientists Included in the New Project of ACHIEVEMENTS.RF

ACHIEVEMENTS.RF (ДОСТИЖЕНИЯ.РФ) big project has been launched in Russia. It is an all-Russian online information platform, where the achievements of modern Russia in different spheres are presented, and the Chelyabinsk Region is also included here.

The aim of the project is to tell about the achievements of our country in the 21st century, give everyone an opportunity to learn about the scientific, technological and cultural potential of our Motherland.

SUSU Professor among the Top 50 Celebrities of the Chelyabinsk Region

At the Top 50 Famous People of the Chelyabinsk Region awarding ceremony, SUSU Professor Al-Suhaimi Sobhi Ahmed Azab has been awarded the prize in the Science category. The contest was held by the R: a Magazine about Reputation with a Capital R, and the ceremony itself took place in the hall of the Pegas equestrian complex.

The organisers chose a number of scientists of the Chelyabinsk Region for the Science category, and popular vote determined a single winner among them.

"Re-Turn" by Aleksandr Purik: A New Exhibition Presented at SUSU

The "Re-Turn" ("Воз-Вращение") exhibition of ceramics and paintings by Aleksandr Purik opened in the Art Gallery of South Ural State University on September 15th. Aleksandr Purik is a participant in numerous art exhibitions and festivals, a member of the Union of Artists of Russia, a teacher at the Department of Decorative and Applied Arts at the Chelyabinsk State Institute of Culture.

Participants in the Projects and Analytical Session Outlined the Main Vectors for the Development of SUSU

On day two of the Projects and Analytical Session, SUSU's lead staff members determined the prospects and horizons for the development of our university. At the plenary session, the dynamics of changes in the university in retrospect were considered, and the main vectors for its improvement in the context of modern challenges were identified.

“Ecology Is Everyone”: Award Call for Applications

In order to increase environmental awareness among citizens, involve children, young people and older generation in environmental agenda, the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resources has established the “Ecology Is Everyone” International Award for children and youth.

Projects and Analytical Session Started at SUSU

Projects and Analytical Session is being held at South Ural State University September 11th-13th. SUSU scientists, jointly with experts from Ufa, Perm and Saint Petersburg are discussing the programs of development of strategic projects.

More Than 2000 International Students from 56 Countries around the World Study at SUSU

International students enrol in South Ural State University every year. Today, more than 2000 international students from 56 countries of the world are studying at the university. International applicants learn about the university from their friends, at educational venues, through social media, university advertising on the Internet, representatives of Russia abroad and from other information sources.

Training of Highly Professional Personnel: SUSU Conducts Engineering Classes in Chelyabinsk Schools

SUSU Postgraduate Received Scholarship from the Government of the Russian Federation

On the instruction of the President of Russia, the best students and postgraduates in our country will begin to receive a scholarship named after S.P. Korolev from September 1st. The scholarship is paid by the Government of the Russian Federation for significant achievements in engineering. According to the results of the competition, 10 scholarships were awarded for students and 10 for postgraduates.

Presentation of Programmes for the Digital Departments Project Held at SUSU

A presentation of supplementary academic programmes in non-IT areas of professional retraining for university students was held in the Assembly Hall of South Ural State University on September 6th.

Digital Departments is a joint project of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and the Ministry of Digital Development, Telecommunications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation aimed at developing the competencies necessary to perform a new type of professional activity, acquiring a new qualification in information technology.

South Ural State University has climbed 100 positions up in “The Three University Missions” world universities ranking in 2023. SUSU has also entered the top 30 in the rankings of Russian universities, having become the first among Chelyabinsk universities and the second among universities in the Ural Federal District.

Record-breaking Number of Research Studies Being Performed at South Ural State University

The most objective assessment of the scientific potential of universities is the scope of their research studies. By its 80th Anniversary, SUSU has shown record-breaking results: the volume of funding for all its research studies will exceed one billion roubles for the first time. The scope includes programs, grants and business contracts – orders from the real sector of the economy in the Chelyabinsk Region and other Russian regions.

South Ural State University hosted schoolchildren from the Lugansk People's Republic August 16th through 24th. During this time, the guys managed to meet with the Governor of the Chelyabinsk Region Alexey Texler, have a good rest in the Beryozka children's health camp, get acquainted with young activists of the city, train with the Chelbasket basketball club, visit the largest museums in the region, and cheer for the Traktor hockey team.
