"Let's go!": SUSU will celebrate Cosmonautics Day

On April 12, 1961, an event occurred that became the starting point of the era of space exploration: cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin entered the near-Earth orbit on the Vostok spacecraft and flew around the planet. These were 108 minutes of flight, which the world watched with a sinking heart. After such a breakthrough, space has become not so far away, humanity is taking bold steps to investigate it.

In honor of this memorable date SUSU invites everyone to participate in the celebration and feel like real cosmonauts. On April 11, an "intergalactic" contest will be held on the 3rd floor of the main building, the winners of which will receive prizes from sponsors and will be able to compete for the main prize - a set of food for astronauts.

In addition to the main competition, participants can try their hand at interactive venues and receive pleasant gifts from the organizers and partners of the event. In addition, everyone can make unusual photos in the thematic photo zone and try on a real astronaut helmet. After summing up the results of the holiday participants, a surprise is awaited, which was specially prepared for the holiday by the choir of students from China.

Venue: South Ural State University, the main educational building (Lenin Ave., 76), Hall 3 floors.

Event date:
Tuesday, 11 April, 2017 - 13:00 to 13:30
