Russian Science Foundation Accepting Grant Applications

The Russian Science Foundation continues to accept applications for participation in the Foundation’s grant contest in the priority field of the RSF: Basic Research and Exploratory Scientific Research by Small Individual Scientific Groups.

Grants are awarded for the fulfilment of scientific and technical programs and projects involving fundamental scientific research and exploratory scientific research in 2022–2023 in the following fields:

01 Mathematics, Computer Science, and Systems Science

02 Physics and Aerospace

03 Chemistry and Material Sciences

04 Biology and Life Sciences

05 Basic Research in Medicine

06 Agricultural Sciences

07 Earth Sciences

08 Humanities and Social Sciences

09 Engineering.

The amount of one grant is up to 1,500,000 roubles each year. Research teams can enter their projects into the contest regardless of the position held by the head of the research team, his/her academic degree, or citizenship. The total number of members of the research team (including the project leader) is 2–4 people. In order to participate in the contest, the project leader must have at least five publications in peer-reviewed Russian and foreign scientific journals indexed in the Web of Science Core Collection or Scopus databases.

A mandatory condition for receiving the grant is a commitment by the team to publish at least three different publications containing the results of the research within the project and to present a report on the results at an in-person scientific conference.

Applications will be accepted until June 15, 2021. The application is to be prepared with the help of the RSF IAS. The results of the contest will be confirmed by November 30, 2021. There is no limit to the number of projects that can be conducted at one higher educational institution.
