Director of photography for special SUSU-TV projects Daniil Rukavitsyn has become a winner in the All-Russian Student Television Contest organized by the Russian Television Academy TEFI Foundation. The awarding ceremony has been held at the Ural Federal University.
Around 400 works from 46 universities of our country were submitted for the contest. Students of South Ural State University presented their semidocumentary film titled South Urals. Traces of Ages.
According to Daniil, the photography work in this film was very difficult: “Outdoor shooting means that much depends on the weather conditions. But despite many of our difficulties, the film viewers will never know what we had to face in the process of its making.”
This years’ winners in the All-Russian Student Television Contest were announced in ten categories: documentary, news item, television Internet project, animation. Also, the best director, producer, reporter, cameraman and sound designer were named. The jury consisted of the leading Russian journalists and media specialists. The students were awarded the contest-traditional Orpheus statuette.
“We had a shooting on the day of the final event, so it took some time for me to switch to the festivities atmosphere and realize what was happening. Great many authoritative and celebrated professionals were among the audience. And namely this gave me most special impressions during the awarding ceremony: I felt calm and confident thanks to the understanding that people of such level did justice to our work,” shared Daniil Rukavitsyn.
