On June 21, a closing ceremony for the Project Management Championship, Cup of the Governor was held in the conference hall of the SUSU Sigma Building. Results were announced, and participants were awarded.
The 2023 Championship for School Pupils, Cup of the Chelyabinsk Region’s Governor was organized by the Ministry of Education and Science for the Chelyabinsk Region, Ministry of Economic Development, Ministry of Industry, New Technologies and Natural Resources, Department of Youth Policy of the Chelyabinsk Region, and South Ural State University.
The event was attended by:

– Sergey Kazakov, Director of OGAU State Foundation for Industrial Development of the Chelyabinsk Region;

– Nadezhda Vydrya, Head for the Elementary, Basic, and Secondary General Education;
– Irina Savelieva, Doctor of Sciences (Economics), Professor, SUSU Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs;
– Anzhela Karpushkina, Doctor of Sciences (Economics), Professor, Director of the SUSU School of Economics and Management;
– Leonid Baev, Doctor of Sciences (Economics), Professor of the Department of Industrial Economics and Project Management, Head of PMCup Championship;
– Vladimir Antonov, representative of the partner and sponsor of the Championship, Deputy Executive Manager of PAO Sberbank.
The Championship participants, team leaders and event guests were eagerly anticipating the results announcement. Among the participants were schools from Chelyabinsk, Korkino, Kopeysk, Trekhgorny, Troitsk, Asha, Satka, Yuzhnouralsk, Zauralsky settlement, and Dolgoderevenskoe village.
Three rounds of the Championship started February 4th and included an in-absentia round, in-person (visiting) intensive round at "Karagayskiy Bor" sanatorium for 5 days in May, refining and defence of projects in April, and closing ceremony and results announcement held on June 21st.
The winners were announced taking into account the results, which the teams had been demonstrating during the whole participation in the Championship. The “Konrad” team from Chelyabinsk Regional Multidisciplinary Boarding Lyceum for Talented Children (team leader Tamara Sidneva) were awarded the Cup of the Chelyabinsk Region’s Governor, a cash prize from the Championship partner PAO Sberbank, and the first-place certificate for their “IT Tournament” project.
Second-place certificate and a cash prize from the Championship partner PAO Sberbank were awarded to the “We Are Our Country’s Future” team, School No.15 from Zauralsky settlement of Emanzhelisnk District (team leader Iuliia Zamiatina) for their “Sunny Island Sports and Recreation Area for Children with Disabilities” project.
Third-place certificate and a cash prize from the Championship partner PAO Sberbank were awarded to the “Territory 13” team from Lyceum No.13, from Troitsk (team leaders Olesia Pribytova and Olga Ivanova) for their “Give a Second Life to Dendrological Park Named after School Friends” project.
Eleven teams out of the twenty one finalists were awarded certificates in special categories.
Team leaders (mentoring teachers) were awarded letters of appreciation from the Ministry of Education and Science for the Chelyabinsk Region.
As the tradition goes, special prizes were also given away by the Championship partners: PAO Sberbank and SOVNET National Project Management Association.
To close this wonderful and important Championship, the participants took a photo of all of them gathered together and wished each other success and health.
