SUSU Student participated in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum

Leokadia Parshina, student of the School of Economics and Management, took part in the Youth Day at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum SPIEF-2023 (International Youth Economic Forum) on June 17, 2023 at «Expoforum» Exhibition Center in St. Petersburg.

The Roscongress Foundation and The Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodyozh) were the co-organizers of the event. The most talented students, postgraduate students and young scientists of the Russian Federation were invited to participate in the forum and they were given an opportunity to find partners, like-minded people and receive feedback from world-class experts. Among the chosen ones was Leokadia Parshina, a student of «Economic Security» of the School of Economics and Management.

The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum is one of the largest and most significant business events in the world. Over 25 years, the event has earned the status of the world's leading platform for discussing key issues of the global economy and exchanging global best practices and competencies to ensure sustainable development. The event has been held annually since 1997. Since 2005, SPIEF has been held under the patronage and with the participation of the President of the Russian Federation.

This year, more than 17,000 people attended the forum.

"For me this is the first field trip in my specialty. I am studying at the department of "Economic Security" at SUSU in the specialty of the same name. I took part in the Youth day, where I got interested in the panel discussion "Development Territories: Opportunities for self-realization of young people in the regions". Colleagues were talking about significant contribution of young people to education and development of regions", - Leokadia Parshina shared her impressions.
