A press conference on training personnel in manufacturing and support measures for young specialists was held at the TASS press centre on October 31th.
The First Vice-President of the Russian Engineering Union, Chairman of the State Duma Committee for Manufacturing and Commerce Vladimir Gutenev, and Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Valeriy Falkov took part in the conference. They discussed new approaches in the field of training personnel in engineering, innovative models of collaboration between universities and industrial partners, support measures for beginner specialists and young scientists, the start of Zvezda (Star) Multidisciplinary Engineering Olympiad (which is organised by the Engineering Union jointly with South Ural State University), as well as other relevant educational issues.
