The traditional ceremony of awarding scholarships of the Legislative Assembly of the Chelyabinsk Region to students and postgraduates of educational organizations was held in the middle of November.
Students of South Ural State University also received a one-time payment. The awards were given for successes and achievements in studies and science, creative victories, and various contributions to public life.
Oleg Gerber, Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Chelyabinsk Region, gave the welcome speech:
“Thanks to all of you we feel confident about the future! Of course, we should thank your parents and teachers, too. Our scholarship emphasizes your accomplishments in various fields. I also congratulate you on the International Students’ Day. I wish you all the best, new achievements, and may your life plans come true.”
All students received scholarship certificates and bouquets of flowers.
“I received a scholarship in the field of science. I actively participated in scientific conferences, wrote articles, obtained a patent and am generally passionate about this field of activity. The scholarship gave me another impetus to move on,” says Sofia Yusupova, a student.
By decision of the Presidium of the Legislative Assembly, the scholarship was assigned to:

- Aleksey Kosarev, 4th-year postgraduate;
- Gleb Ryavkin, 3rd-year postgraduate;
- Alina Sivkova, 2nd-year postgraduate;
- Roman Baimov, 4th-year student of the School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science;
- Ekaterina Boguslavskaya, 5th-year student of the Institute of Law;
- Angelina Bychkova, 4th-year student of the Institute of Law;
- Ekaterina Vorontsova, 4th-year student of the Institute of Sport, Tourism and Service;
- Irina Karabatova, 3rd-year student of the Institute of Sport, Tourism and Service;
- Yulia Minakova, 4th-year student of the Institute of Media, Social Sciences and Humanities;
- Ekaterina Naumenko, 2nd-year Master’s student of the School of Medical Biology;
- Dmitriy Nikolaev, 3rd-year student of the School of Economics and Management;
- Aleksandra Tsepel, 3rd-year student of the School of Economics and Management;
- Sofia Yusupova, 4th-year student of the School of Economics and Management;
