Tubing Rides for Everyone: International Students Tried a Winter Pastime

Sociocultural Adaptation Centre has organized traditional tubing rides for international students of South Ural State University. This type of winter pastime is everyone's favourite and is very popular.

This year, Sociocultural Adaptation Centre has organized three trips for 101 students. First, tubing rides were held for Chinese students of Zhengzhou University of Aeronautics, and then for students of various schools and institutes of our university, as well as students of the Department of Russian as a Foreign Language. Students from different countries, such as China, Mongolia, India, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Yemen, Philippines, Syria, Libya, Algeria, Egypt, Morocco, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Mozambique, Togo, Gabon, Benin, Congo, Haiti and Peru, got unforgettable riding experience.

It has been an extremely unforgettable trip. We have been all together with friends and teaching staff and we have met new people. We all have had something in common, and just had a good time. Many thanks to the teachers who organize this event, everything is very well organized, and I hope to take part in other trips next time!” said John Rivera Loayza, a student from Peru.

In addition, every year, Sociocultural Adaptation Centre takes students to Sunny Valley mountain ski resort in Miass, where they have an opportunity to learn how to ski or snowboard and get a charge of positive emotions.
