SUSU Trains Professionals in the Field of Financial Markets and Institutions

The School of Economics and Management (Financial Technology Department) at South Ural State University has introduced a new Master’s programme Finance and Credit (Financial Markets and Institutions) taught in English which trains specialists with new skills and knowledge.

Institute of Engineering and Technology of SUSU Invites to English-Taught Master’s Program

South Ural State University (SUSU) is a huge (30000 students) multinational university which has been consistently ranked as one of the top Russian universities in national and international rankings. Two areas of education – Physical Sciences and Engineering and Technology - are in the THE University Ranking by Subject 2020. Every year students from different countries choose SUSU for getting their Bachelor’s or Master’s degree. There are lots of educational programs both in Russian and English languages.

From China to Russia to Become a Teacher of Russian

One of the leaders of Russian higher education – South Ural State University (SUSU) – is located at the border of Europe and Asia, in Chelyabinsk. SUSU International Students Try Winter Sports

Each year, the SUSU Sociocultural Adaptation Centre organizes winter activities for SUSU international students. The Centre organized fun winter activities for the students, per tradition.

Last December, the students visited the Solnechnaya Dolina (Sunny Valley) ski resort, where they mastered snowboarding and skiing under the guidance of instructors. This was a record-breaking travel event organized by the Centre as 65 people went on this trip. For many students, this was a totally novel experience.

Day of Russian Science 2023: Day of Pioneers Festival Held at SUSU

The Day of Pioneers (Den Pervykh), which included a series of lectures and master classes for scientists, students, and school pupils, was held at the SUSU University Entrepreneurial Boiling Point on the Day of Russian Science on February 8th. Dmitriy Kozlenkov, General Director of the Chelyabinsk IT Park, Sergey Kulik, Scientific Director of the MSU Quantum Technology Centre and Head of the SUSU Quantum Light Laboratory, and other experts participated in the festival.

Dopamine Helps Cope with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder

Within the framework of the strategic project “Human Health in the Era of Digital Transformation of Society” under the Priority 2030 program, SUSU neuroscientists are working on solving a problem of national importance – the correction of post-traumatic stress disorders (PTSD), which are acquired, including after being in combat conditions. Scientists have found that replenishing dopamine deficiency contributes to the formation of resistance to PTSD.

SUSU PhD Student Creates a New Program for Strength Calculations

A postgraduate student Egor Leshkov won the UMNIK competition and received a grant for his project “Development of a Method for Calculating Products from Highly Nonlinear Composite Materials for Packages Implementing the Finite Element Method”. SUSU Project for the Production of Hydraulic Servo-Drives Received Government Grant

The project of SUSU and the Ural Engineering Center (UEC) was declared the winner in the competitive selection under Government Decree No. 218. Federal funding will be used for the domestic production of servo-hydraulic drive components. The goal of state support is to develop cooperation between Russian higher educational institutions, scientific institutions, and industrial enterprises. The amount of the subsidy will be 166.1 million rubles.

Historians and Archaeologists Investigated Four Thousand-Year-Old Copper Mines in the Urals

The article published in the journal Archaeological and Anthropological Sciences (Q1) presents an analysis of the first series of radiocarbon dates associated with the beginning of copper mining in the Southern Trans-Urals and, in general, with the history of the development of deposits in the Southern Trans-Urals in the Bronze Age. The work was carried out by SUSU scientists within the Russian Science Foundation grant.
