Yesterday in the course of Big Academic Council SUSU Rector Alexander L. Shestakov awarded the students of Mass Communication Department of Faculty of Journalism with diplomas. The students took part in All-Russian Students Contest in Advertising and PR which was held at Kazan National Research Technical University named after A.N. Tupolev.
The program of that event was interesting and quite rich; the jury members assessed the team work and individual performances as well.
The students of Mass Communication Department (Anna Andronova, Kseniya Botova and Viktoriya Tutubalina) were awarded with diplomas as the winners in the nomination “Best presentation of celebrity” within the contest of cross-cultural communication. The key event of the competition was testing in the professional disciplines fundamentals of “Advertisement and Public Relations”. Here, in the nomination “Most overall answer” Anna Andronova became the winner.
Also the students had an opportunity to attend master classes held by the following leading theorists and practicing specialists in the sphere of communication: D.P. Petrov, Chief Editor of “Со-общение” / “So-obshchenie” magazine (Moscow); L.V. Minaev, Professor of Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov, President of PR Professors Association (Moscow); E.V. Bykova, Head of Public Relations Department of Russian State Hydrometeorological University (St. Petersburg); D.A. Smirkin, Director of Business Communications of OAO MegaFon (Moscow); N.Y. Gerasimova, Project Manager of Radio Station “Ekho Moskvy” / “Эхо Москвы” (Kazan) and others.
Ekaterina N. Peskova, scientific supervisor of the students’ team of Mass Communication Department, Candidate of Science (Philology), noted: “This event demonstrates the high level of inter-university competition (this year 22 teams from different cities of the Russian Federation have competed to win the competitions in the sphere of advertising and public relations). The systematic training of our students allows them to achieve great results in different professional events and proves the high level of professional competence among SUSU students”.
