Articles by Scientists of the Institute of Law Published in Highly Ranked Journal

For more than 5 years now, scientists of South Ural State University have been actively studying important aspects of legal regulation of digital technologies. The results of their work can be seen as publications in highly ranked journals, including those of the first quartile, as well as multi-authored monographs and other scientific works.

“We are actively developing our scientific school of digital law. In 2020 we won a grant, within the framework of which legal aspects of introducing components of Industry 4.0 were examined. In 2022 we published a monograph on The Law of Digital Environment, in which 83 authors from 9 countries of the world took part,” noted Elena Titova, Director of the Institute of Law.

Another stage of development of research in this area by scientists of the Institute of Law has become a creation of a special edition of BRICS Law Journal, a journal, indexed in Scopus databases (second quartile). It is based on a special edition of conference proceedings of the Law and Digital Technologies: The Way Forward.

“In 2021 we organized a big-scale international conference on the Law and Digital Technologies: The Way Forward, where scientists from Russia, India, Brazil, Italy, Romania, Poland, the USA and Malaysia presented the results of their scientific research. The partners of the conference were two highly ranked journals, and in one of these (BRICS Law Journal) we organized a special edition and published the best articles by scientists of the Institute of Law and their partners,” shared the invited editor of the special edition Elivazeta Gromova, Deputy Director for International Relations of the Institute of Law.

In the special edition you can find scientific articles by teaching staff of the Institute of Law in collaboration with our partners from Brazil, Greece, India, China, Italy and the UAE on current research areas in the field of legal cybersecurity support in the BRICS countries, the application of digital technologies in criminal proceedings in the BRICS countries, the use of information technologies in criminal proceedings in the BRICS countries, the ensuring of confidentiality in the era of digitalization, legal regulation of the use of digital technologies in labour relations in Russia and China.
