On September 21-23 of 2018, an interuniversity ice hockey tournament among student teams was held in the city of Tambov, where South Ural State University’s Polytechnic Hockey Team was among participants.

A Concert by Chamber Orchestra from Yekaterinburg Took Place at SUSU

The new concert season of Student Philharmonia had been opened at South Ural State University. This time, B-A-C-H chamber orchestra from Yekaterinburg performed at the stage of the Activity Hall.

For several decades, Student Philharmonia of SUSU has been promoting acquaintance of students and teaching staff to ageless high art. Concerts and programmes in the frameworks of Student Philharmonia allow students to get familiar with various genres of classical and contemporary music, as well as get to know the best composers and performers of the present and the past.

SUSU Opened Another Pushkin Institute Centre in China

On September 21 of 2018, South Ural State University opened another Pushkin Institute Centre in China – at China University of Petroleum (Beijing).

In the course of presentation, Rector of SUSU Aleksandr Shestakov talked about main spheres of the Centre’s activity, targeted at teaching Russian language for Industry 4.0: digital transformations in teaching Russian language using the neural networks learning technology.

SUSU Experts Participate in a Workshop

On September 14th a workshop for the experts on holding professional-and-public accreditation of educational programs in the field of law was organised at the Ural State Law University as part of its 100th anniversary celebrations.

South Ural State University opens Pushkin Institute in China

On September 19, delegates from South Ural State University including Rector Alexander Shestakov signed an agreement on the opening of the Pushkin Institute at Tianjin Foreign Studies University.

The Pushkin Institute centres open in China as part of the official program by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation. The purpose of the program is to promote the Russian language, culture, and education in China.
